Behavioural Support

for Parents & Carers of Young People

At ENA Behaviour Consultancy, we understand that
all behaviours are a form of communication, and that all behaviours happen for a reason.

By using the evidence-based approach of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), we aim to work collaboratively with you to understand what your young person is communicating through their behaviour, and to create a proactive approach to improve their quality of life.

We will work closely with your family over 6 to 8 sessions to discuss strategies to help you to create an enriched environment at home, to help nurture your child and your family relationships, and to help you all to achieve your goals.

If you are interested in finding out more about how we can help you, please contact us for your free 20 minute consultation

What Services Do We Offer?

Couple Working Together

One-to-One Work for Parents and Carers

We offer caregivers 6-8 sessions where we use information gathered from you to collaboratively create a behaviour support plan to help you to support your child and their needs. We use evidence-based approaches to help learn what your child is communicating through their behaviours so that we can support you to make changes to the environment and to help teach your young person the skills they need to be able to communicate their needs.

Recorded Workshops

We understand at ENA Behaviour Consultancy how at times, it may be challenging to find the time to dedicate to one-to-one work, especially when you feel you only need some simple changes to your routine and lifestyle to help your young person flourish. We have developed a range of workshops that can be accessed at your convenience.

Who is ENA consultancy for?

We work with families to support young people of a primary school age whose behaviour is beginning to impact on their quality of life in some way.

We offer early intervention support to families to help address concerns before they begin impacting on a young person's development. Not only does this minimise distress for the young person but it also supports their family and network and helps them to feel more confident at supporting their young person.

Most of our work is offered virtually so that we can offer our support to families

that need it all over the country.

We accept referrals from both families and professionals.

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to support families who live in

Hertfordshire and West Essex, however we would be happy to provide signposting support to these families if required.

Who is ENA and what do they stand for?

Our service has been built upon many years of seeing the struggles that families face trying to gain access to support for their young people - often leading to families reaching crises.

We want to be able to provide support to improve the quality of life of young people by providing support early and proactively, alongside reducing the risk of behaviours having a long-term impact on the young person's development.

What is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)?

PBS uses science to understand why behaviours are happening and what needs are being communicated. This information is then used to inform a behaviour support plan which focuses on changing the environment around a young person and helps to teach them new skills so they can gain access to meaningful reinforcement in their lives.
